Registered, tracked and filed on your frequency.
Sales tax registration and returns managed by a chartered accountant, filed on the frequency the CRA assigned you rather than the one you remember.

Every province you actually sell into.
Registration, tracking and returns filed monthly, quarterly or annually as assigned. Provincial PST for British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, and QST for Quebec.
If you have started selling somewhere new, the registration question gets answered before it becomes an assessment.
Everything in the engagement.
GST/HST and provincial
Registration and business number setup, plus PST and QST where you have nexus.
Returns on your cycle
Filed monthly, quarterly or annually, on the frequency the CRA actually assigned you.
Input tax credits
ITCs identified and supported, so you are not leaving recoverable tax on the table.
Where you sell now
Whether a new province or sales channel has created an obligation you do not know about yet.
Where this usually applies.
Businesses past the small supplier threshold
Revenue over $30,000 in four consecutive calendar quarters.
Sellers into multiple provinces
Where provincial rules differ and one registration is not enough.
Online and digital sellers
Where the place of supply, not the place of business, decides what you charge.
Three steps, no surprises.
Confirm the obligation
We check where you are registered, where you should be, and on what frequency.
Set up the tracking
Sales tax is tracked in your books so the return is a report, not a reconstruction.
File on the cycle
Returns filed and remitted on your assigned frequency, every period.
The ones we get asked most.
Do I need to register for GST/HST if I earn under $30,000?
Generally no. Below $30,000 in taxable revenue over four consecutive calendar quarters you are a small supplier and registration is optional. Registering voluntarily can still make sense if you have significant input tax credits to recover.
Who needs to register for GST/HST in Canada?
Any business whose worldwide taxable revenue exceeds $30,000 over four consecutive calendar quarters, and some businesses from the first sale, including taxi and ride-share drivers.
What is the difference between GST, HST, PST and QST?
GST is the federal tax. HST combines federal and provincial in participating provinces such as Ontario. PST is a separate provincial tax in British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. QST is Quebec’s own tax, administered by Revenu Quebec.
When is a GST/HST return due?
It depends on your assigned frequency. Monthly and quarterly filers are due one month after the period ends. Annual filers are generally due three months after year end, or June 15 for some individuals.
Can I file my GST/HST return myself?
Yes, through CRA NETFILE. The common errors are claiming input tax credits without support and filing on the wrong frequency, both of which surface on review.
