The finance function, without the salary.
Budgets, forecasts and the financial questions a growing business faces, answered by a chartered accountant who already knows your numbers.

A finance lead for the days you need one.
Budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning and financial analysis, with someone senior to think through pricing, hiring and investment decisions with you.
Scoped to what the business actually needs, at a fixed fee agreed before the work starts.
Everything in the engagement.
Budgeting and forecasting
A budget you can run against, updated as the year moves rather than set once.
Planning ahead
Visibility far enough forward to act, instead of reacting to the bank balance.
Margins and pricing
Unit economics examined against what the books actually show, not what was assumed.
Lenders and investors
The reporting package outside parties expect, prepared properly and on time.
Where this usually applies.
Businesses too small for a full-time CFO
Where the need is a few days a month, not a salary.
Owners making bigger decisions
A hire, a location, a large purchase, or a change in pricing.
Companies preparing for finance
Where a lender or investor is about to ask for numbers you do not currently produce.
Three steps, no surprises.
Understand the business
We start from your books and the decisions actually in front of you.
Build the model
Budget, forecast and the reporting that tracks against them.
Meet on a cycle
Regular sessions, so the plan stays current instead of ageing in a folder.
The ones we get asked most.
What does a fractional CFO do?
The same work as a CFO, on a part-time basis: budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, financial analysis and decision support, without the cost of a full-time hire.
How is it different from a bookkeeper or accountant?
Bookkeeping records the past and tax filing reports it. A CFO uses those numbers to decide what happens next.
When does a business need one?
Usually when decisions get big enough that guessing is expensive: a significant hire, a capital purchase, a pricing change, or a lender asking for forecasts.
How much time is involved?
Scoped to the business. Some engagements are a monthly review, others are weekly through a specific project.
Is it a fixed fee?
Yes. Like every engagement here it is quoted at a fixed fee with the scope agreed before the work starts.
Licensed, certified, and accountable for it.

In their words.
Aaron has done my personal taxes for six years and he’s the best. My files are sometimes complicated and I was not always the most organized client, yet he handles all of it without ever making me feel bad about the mess. He’s fast, he explains everything in plain English, and he always finds credits I would have missed.Shmuel Neft
